Setup Instructions

  1. Go to StreamElements → My Overlays → New Overlay
  2. Name it "Pixel Quest Chat: Retro Pix" and click Create
  3. Click Add Widget → Static/Custom → Custom Widget
  4. Resize the widget to cover your desired chat area (e.g. 400x600)
  5. Click on the widget → Open Editor
  6. Copy each code section into the matching tab (HTML, CSS, JS, Fields, Data)
  7. Click Save
  8. Use the Settings panel to customize colors, roles, avatars, and all options

Key Settings Groups

General Layout, scroll direction, animations, font, message limit, ignored users, bot list
Messages Avatars (initial/Twitch PFP/pixel-icon), badges, font sizes, weights, 7TV emotes, large emotes, pronouns, custom tags, timestamps
Colors Per-role colors for streamer, mod, VIP, sub, viewer, artist, bot; background, border, glow, and accent colors
Events Per-event toggles, min thresholds, event text templates, channel point redeems
Effects Glow, 3D tilt angle, opacity, corner radius, fade mask, smooth entrance
Demo Preview mode with fake messages to test styling in the editor
